Following on our (needing to be darned!) heels of an issue or two ago, CRAFT’s blog has a feature for their March Mending Month series on darning. I have to say this is giving me a lot of inspiration — I have a beautiful Irish woven shawl in shades of red-violet bouclé yarn that has a big hole towards the bottom. While I’d been considering just patching it with a fabric flower or the like, I have to say that all this talk of darning is making me want to do that instead!
We have some surprises coming that I can’t talk about quite yet but that are very, very exciting for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it is difficult to keep one’s mouth shut! One I can talk about, though, is KAL Media’s new crochet magazine Inside Crochet, which will be on newsstands this month. I have heard that the first cover is just astonishingly pretty. More on the rest when my lips are unsealed!

I am very excited about the launch of a UK Crochet Magazine. For the last few years I have had to subscribe to several US magazines due to the lack of something similar this side of the pond….rollon March 27th !
